Weekend...
Well, it was a pretty good weekend. Saturday morning we went to Tanglewood Farms for a Mothers and More outing. There was a pretty poor turnout, but it was still fun. There was one family there when we got there. The mom was Sheryl and the dad was Todd. Their son was Thomas. They were very nice. She’s a SAHM and he’s in IT. They watch the same shows we do and he’s a big sci-fi guy. We went to lunch afterwards at Applebee’s with them. Cool. :) As we were leaving Tanglewood another lady showed up with her son. Her name was Melanie and she was at the first M&M meeting I went to.
We came home from that and put Emily down for a nap. She slept about 3 hours and didn’t wake up until Chris’ parents got there. They showed up around 5 and said they weren’t going to stay the night, so we didn’t get to see 2 movies. :( Oh well. We went to see Shrek 2. It was cute. Not as good as the first, but still good. We ate at Los Reyes on Chastain after that. YUM! Very good and very cool inside. The inside looks like something at Disney World’s Epcot. The back wall is 2+ stories high and is painted in a big mural. In front of it, there’s a short stage where women in Mexican garb come out and dance. The bottom floor is all open and there are lots of tables. On the left side, there are steps that go up and there are tables up there. There are balconies on the upper level to where you can eat outside. Cool. When we got home, Emily was still awake. I like to think she just missed mommy and daddy. She went to bed soon after that. :)
Sunday, I let Chris sleep late since it was Father’s day. I was going to do breakfast in bed for him, but that’s a little hard to do with a baby. Maybe next year. Anyway, I was going to mow the lawn too, so he wouldn’t have to do it, but I just couldn’t take the heat. I got one side done and he had to finish it. After Emily woke up, we all went down to the pool and splashed around. Fun! :) Then we did the grocery store and came home.
Last night was horrible. They said Emily was a little fussy at daycare yesterday. She kept biting things, so they thought maybe she’s teething. I tried some Orajel, but that didn’t do anything for her. Later, I tried some Tylenol and that may have worked. I fed her at 5:30 and she feel asleep after 3 oz. I trimmed her nails and she woke up. We went upstairs to eat some more and try to get her asleep. She fell asleep again, but woke up before I even put her down. I tried for 3 hours to get her to go to sleep before she finally did. That was 8:30. So I didn’t get dinner until then either. I finally went to bed at 9:30 and just prayed that she would sleep through the night. She did. Yea!!
Thursday I’m doing a Mother and More movie night. Cool. Also, Emily’s getting pictures made at school that day. Too cool.
